When I was asked to clean a carpet in Camberley, I thought I would take the opportunity to try out a new and exciting product!
Every carpet is different… with different fibres and different levels of soil.
As part of the cleaning process once a thorough vacuum has taken place we pre-condition the carpet with a chemical to separate the soils from the carpet fibres.
Then we would usually agitate the carpet by means of rotary machine or a contra rotating machine to lift the pile and work the chemical deep into the pile.
However… on a berber carpet we take a slightly different approach, I tend to rely on a chemical clean rather than a mechanical clean, so I would reach for a slightly stronger chemical and agitate the carpet with a more gentle approach so not to damage the berber loops.
My chosen chemical in the following video was ‘Shockwave’, a new product from Solutions Ltd. I think the results speak volumes. The carpet cleaned up fantastically and the customer was very pleased!
