Cleaned a rug today in the Farnham area…
Rugs can get soiled just the same as carpets, so this particular rug was given the ProSteam treatment. The dust sheet I use has a polyurethane backing to protect the floor from any liquids.
The first picture was taken just after the rug was vacuumed… 10 minutes of thorough vacuuming!!!
I then applied a pH neutral, detergent-free chemical to separate the soils from the wool fibres, the rug is then gently brushed to help agitate the chemical and loosen the soils.
Before and after!… Here are two pre-clean and post-extraction pictures:

Notice how the colours look richer once the soils have been remove!
