Red Wine Stain Removed From Wool Carpet!
This is a time lapse capture of a wine stain we removed from a wool mix carpet
Luckily the customer only blotted the spillage at the time of the accident and refrained from using any household cleaners which is the first thing most people feel is required!
In fact adding a cleaner to the stain will actually make the situation worse and could contribute to permanently damaging the carpet.
We use specific products designed to safely remove the wine colour and not the colour of the carpet.
Here are some tips if you spill red wine on your carpet:
1 Fetch some clean towels or plenty of kitchen roll
2 Never rub BLOT the area to soak up the liquid
3 DON’T apply white wine, its a myth
4 Call a professional IF you can still see the red wine after blotting
Ever heard of putting white wine on top of a red wine stain?
Its complete nonsense, apart from a complete waste of good wine it has no effect on reducing the colour of the red wine. The reason people sprinkle salt over a red wine stain is to help the liquid soak into the dry salt… This can work but can also damage the carpet.
