Carpet cleaning – Care home deep cleaning in Aldershot
Aldershot’s leading carpet cleaning professionals to the rescue
The carpets in care homes are very different the the ones found in our homes. They are subjected to lots of food and beverage spillages and of course bodily fluids such as vomit, urine and blood.
We are also dealing with odours, these odours can be caused by bacteria which multiplies within the carpet after a spillages occurs. The video featured shows a typical example of the condition of a care home carpet, we were shocked to see how the carpets appearance improved with a thorough vacuum.
It was laden with dry soil and debris which had to be removed before we could progress to the next stage.
The next stage involves spraying the carpet with a specialist chemical which digests proteins and fats, also killing bacteria which is the likely cause of the odour.
Once the chemical has been mechanically brushed into the carpet we then flush all the dirt and contaminates from the carpet using our state of the art high powered extraction system.
Our equipment can provide high temperature water which helps to break the bond between the soils and fibres.
The heat also accelerates dry times and helps to sanitise.
Once the carpets have been extracted we then use powerful drying equipment to reduce drying times.
ProsteamUK can (if required) apply an NHS approved product to the carpets which continues to kill bacteria and viruses. The same product is used for infection control.
