- Aromatek odour elimination unit, this sits inside the car for about 2 hours
The customer had purchased a second hand car from a private seller and unfortunately a can of diesel had fallen over in the boot and had leaked all over the carpet, including the passenger footwells.
Diesel is a nasty liquid and diesel spillages are very difficult to completely remove – anything which comes into contact with it needs to be flushed. Apart from flushing out the diesel from the carpets, this was also a good opportunity to carry out a complete interior clean on the vehicle, so every single part of the interior was cleaned.
All the fabric in this car was deep cleaned including the seats, headrests, door panels, headlining, boot mat and carpets. The car’s vinyl was scrubbed, cleaned and then finished with a protestant which doesn’t leave surfaces greasy.
The final stage was to use the Aromatek odour elimination unit, this sits inside the car for about 2 hours releasing a vapour of essential oils which attach themselves to all the fabric.
