ProSteamUK were once again called upon by Simply Carpet & Flooring for the cleaning and sealing of their karndean floor in their Camberley showroom.
Thousands of people visit this store every year and with such heavy footfall, the flooring was looking dull, scuffed and scratched.
Clean, repair and reseal
Once the previous sealant had been completely stripped, the scratches and scuffs were dealt with using a repair system.
Scratches and scuffs are usually caused by shoe abrasion on the main traffic areas.
Unfortunately heavy furniture had been dragged across the floor causing some deep scratches, sadly these were not repairable.
Our Karndean cleaning and repair system saves our customers time, hassle and money.
By resurfacing the Karndean our product effectively creates a new layer by filling in the scratches.
This method is by far the most cost effective way to renew rather than replace!
Dr Schutz, the manufacture of the sealant claims that its super resistant to abrasion, spillages and will last up to 3 years!
Once the sealant has been applied to the Karndean flooring, it usually takes around 2 hours to become touch dry.
A further 5 days will be required before the PU repair sealant is completely cured, whereas the mat hard seal is ready to use in just 24 hours.
Tests have proved that a sealed floor is more resistant to everyday wear and tear.
Continued maintenance will help to prolong the life of the flooring, sealing will also make the flooring more hygienic. Karndean & Amtico flooring require the very best maintenance.
